Pupils visit City College

April 19, 2016

This half term, pupils have had the chance to visit City College in Southampton. During their visit to the busy college, they were treated to a talk from a member of staff from City who explained all about the fantastic opportunities the college had to offer. Pupils also enjoyed a tour of the brilliant facilities including a working garage, restaurant and health and beauty parlour. We hope that all the pupils who attended were inspired by the wide range of fascinating options that await them after their time at Noadswood.

We would like to thank our excellent careers advisor Gordon Lewis for his help on the trip, Bridget from City College for her informative talk and tour and all the teachers from Noadswood who made the outings possible.

Kayleigh  from year 8 had this to say on her return:

“Yesterday a group of year 8s went to City College. It was amazing when we saw all the different things. We went to the health and social care centre. It looked really cool when we saw all the different things they do. If you want to be a sports teacher you have to learn about the parts of the body and if you take this course it will help you learn about the body parts and the children themselves.

We saw all the art facilities and we went to the hair and beauty parlour and the spa too. It was really good. Finally, we also saw the media suite and thought that was really interesting because there were loads of computers.”
