During the first week of June, Noadswood Year 7 pupils embarked on their annual activity week. 160 pupils headed to Adventure International in Bude for a week of outdoor pursuits, including surfing, kayaking, mountain boarding and climbing.
Sam in Year 7 said ‘It was a fantastic week, I loved the surfing as the waves just kept coming and although we fell off our boards lots I managed to stand up.’
Pupils enjoyed working with their instructors trying out new sports and conquering their fears along with the just dance competition on the last night with everyone at Adventure International taking part.
The other members of Year 7 at Noadswood, visited Longleat and London during their activity week.
Jake said he most enjoyed ‘seeing all the different animals at Longleat from snakes to lions and wolves.’
Pupils also had a chance to try out archaeology and identify real and replica Roman artefacts on their archaeological dig whilst in school. In London pupils enjoyed going on the London Eye and the Science Museum.
