Lulworth Cove wide

Jurassic Coast Trip

November 9, 2017

On Tuesday 31st of October, some lucky Year 7s got the opportunity to visit the beautiful Jurassic Coast as part of their Navig8 topic. The journey was relatively quick; it was roughly an hour and a half, and it was quite a peaceful journey. We were also lucky enough to have a Lulworth tour guide to tell us about the past and present history of the Jurassic Coast, and to give us a tour. Finding out lots about our topic was very interesting. We learnt about different types of rocks which were: Chalk, Greensand, Wealden, Purbeck and Portland. One of the rocks was 150 million years old! The views at Lulworth Cove were stunning and Durdle Door looked awesome!

Thank you to Miss Leak for organising this trip.
