Girls Rugby continues to impress!

November 27, 2017

There has been a huge movement towards girls rugby here at Noadswood and we are beginning to reap the rewards of such fantastic progress from everyone involved!

Since September we have had rugby in all our girls lessons in the lower school which has really drummed up interest to play and we have taken nearly 40 different girls to Fawley RFC as we continue the journey to engage girls in more regular play.

The annual Hampshire Rugby Festivals have also been successful for us. All our previous visits to these tournaments have left us with a few defeats but the majority of wins but most importantly, huge progress and enjoyment! This year has been something special. The U15 girls went the whole day without losing a game and ended up as champions, and not wanting to be outdone, the U13 girls ended up as champions too!

The next tournaments for these girls are in the spring of 2018 so we need to work hard to get everyone along to Rugby club on Tuesday nights after school! If the U15 repeat their victory that puts us into the National Cup!

Congratulations to everyone who has been a part of this, no matter how small!
