43 Year 7 pupils braved a very early alarm and spent the day in Boulogne. After a pleasant ferry crossing to Calais, we had a short coach journey to Becasuc sweet factory where we learnt how different types of sweets are made. After sampling some of them we were able to buy gifts in the sweet shop at the end of the tour.
We then headed into the Old Town to practise our French, have some lunch and do some souvenir shopping. The candyfloss and ice-cream went down a treat! Before taking the ferry home, we spent some time at the hypermarket and had time to enjoy dinner.
We had a brilliant, sunny day and even managed to arrive home before midnight!
