Year 7 Rugby Team complete a great year!

13 May, 2019

Noadwood’s Year 7 Boys Rugby team completed a successful year, competing in the Hampshire Schools County Tournament. Hosted by the RFU at Southampton Rugby Club’s ground, almost 30 schools from across Hampshire participated. Some local rivals, such as Applemore and Priestlands, were present but what was really exciting for our Boys was the chance to compete against schools from as far away as Winchester and even Portsmouth!

Under the captaincy of Oliver Hale-Heighway, the Year 7 team performed to a high level, losing only one match all day. The final tally was four wins, three draws and just a single loss. Four trys were scored by the captain and Max Belson, Marcus Wilkins and Connor Farrell all got on the score sheet as well.

Together with comprehensive season victories against Hounsdown and Priestlands, this crop of young players look like having a bright future. Good luck for next season from everyone at Noadswood.
