High School Musical Production

Success of High School Musical at Noadswood

May 13, 2014

The Spring Term saw the start of a very busy production season for staff and students at Noadswood. Having auditioned before the Christmas holidays, students arrived back in January with a great sense of energy to begin this year’s School Production – High School Musical. This is a story about two high school juniors from rival cliques – Troy Bolton, captain of the basketball team, and Gabriella Montez, a beautiful and shy transfer student who excels in maths and science. Together, they try out for the lead parts in their high school musical and as a result, divide the school. Noadswood cast, including students from all year groups, worked hard to learn their lines and gave up a lot of their spare time (including weekends) to ensure that this show was a big hit.

Performances took place in the final week of the Spring Term. The cast said ‘It’s been a mixture of fun, thrills and a lot of hard work. The teachers have really pushed us to be our best.’ The staff said ‘High School Musical has been a lot of fun. It has been a privilege to work with the cast and it was fantastic to see so many students working together.’
