Bude

Bude

June 16, 2014

If you ask an adult what the best years of their life were, they will almost certainly say ‘school years’. Reasons for this could be friends, the subjects, the teachers and so forth, but if I am asked that question when I’m older, I would probably say ‘The school trips’. Recently, the majority of year 7’s at Noadswood experienced secondary school trips first hand, as they (I included) hopped on a coach down to Bude, Cornwall to Adventure International. Adventure International is a centre that specialises in activities such as: Canoeing, Rock Climbing, Caving, High Ropes, Surfing, Body Boarding and lots more.

I think Bude was a great experience. From the beautiful views during the early morning run to the last “Go to sleep!” in the evening, we were enjoying activities, food and games. My favourite activities were kayaking along Bude canal, caving under the main house and abseiling down the climbing wall. I enjoyed learning more about the other people in Year 7 – making new friends and getting to know the teachers better. The instructors at the centre were really energetic and encouraging; they made the week exciting, enjoyable and exhausting!

Thank you to all of the school staff who came with us – we couldn’t have done it without you!
