Tutor Groups

When students start at Noadswood in Year 7, they are placed in a year 7 tutor group in one of four houses – Anderwood, Deerleap, Knightwood or Wilverley.  The tutor group is a familiar base for students to begin each morning session.

The tutor is responsible for the well-being of a student on a day to day basis and academic progress.  Your child’s tutor is your first point of contact with the school.

Towards the end of year 7 (about the middle of June) year 7 students will be placed in a vertical tutor group (with students in years 8 – 11) within their House.  They will have had ‘visits’ prior to moving into this group.  They will remain in this tutor group for the remainder of their time at Noadswood.  Normally, this tutor will also remain with the group too.

Students who join Noadswood in years 8 – 11 will be placed in a vertical tutor group.

Each House has two House Leaders; the House Leader (Learning) and House Leader (Guidance) work closely with parents and deal with any problems or worries which may arise.  Tutors and House Leaders are pleased to see parents at any mutually convenient time should there be matters you wish to discuss.
