Digital Down - Ideas

On Thursday 22/07/2021 Noadswood will be conducting our Digital Down event and this page contains a whole host of ideas that you might want to get involved with on the day...

Digital Down

What do you need to do?

For this final event, like those before, it is an opportunity to give your eyes a rest from the screen and get active and creative - we challenge you to complete one or more of the activities from the list below, which will encourage you to get active, get creative and digitally detox! The pictures are links to ideas and inspiration for the activity which is well worth viewing before the day of the event. All you need to do is choose one or more of the activities on the list and undertake it.

Some things require you to problem solve, others have advice online - you'll need to do your research before the day so that you stick to the digital down theme as much as possible! Many of the activities should give you a sense of personal satisfaction: you will have been creative or taken on a challenge. Some activities involve doing something for others.

*You don't have to take part - if you're worried about your quantity of work that needs to be done then you are welcome to do this if you feel this is right for you.

Let us know

We would love to hear about / see what you got up to - if you're proud of anything you've done or want to share with us what you've achieved / how you've felt, please just email your House Leader using the links below:

Resources and Safety

Many of the activities don’t require specific resources or encourage you to use old items but if you need some basic equipment (like pens, pencils and paper) then speak to your tutor or House Leader and we'll do our best to help you.

Finally STAY SAFE - don't break any lockdown rules and make your parents / carers aware of any activity you are doing if it uses resources such as scissors (check they're happy for you to use particular items at home).

We really hope you enjoy today and it is exactly what you need...

We know that for some of you, the specific day of no new work will offer an opportunity for you to catch up on pressing work - the student survey highlighted that some of you could really benefit from this time, so you are of course welcome to complete anything outstanding.
