Safeguarding (Covid-19)

Safeguarding during the case of partial closure

Safeguarding remains our top priority at all times and this continues throughout any time of partial or full closure. We have written an addendum to our standard safeguarding policy to incorporate the use of Microsoft teams/Zoom.

Should we have to enter a period of partial closure in which groups of students are asked to self-isolate, we will continue to follow our normal safeguarding procedures.

Students will be contacted once per week by a member of the Noadswood staff. This may be their tutor, House Leader, our ELSA, a Learning Support Assistant or a member of the Senior Leadership Team. We will initially contact you by telephone and then discuss the best method of contact for the subsequent week/s. This may be via email or via our epraise app.

Throughout the period of closure, students will be able to contact us via email or epraise to discuss any worries, concerns or safeguarding issues they have. If particular safeguarding concerns are shared by students, these will be passed onto our Designated Safeguarding Lead, Mrs Loveday.

We would encourage all students to visit out Well-being page on FROG for lots of advice, tips and signposting on a wide range of issues.
