We are seeking a dependable Casual School Site Assistant to join our premises team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on, varied work and wants the flexibility of casual hours to fit around other commitments. You will play a vital role in ensuring our school remains a safe, secure, clean, and welcoming environment for our students, staff, and visitors.

What You Will Be Doing:-

No two days are the same in a school, but your typical responsibilities will include:

  • Site Security: Opening up or locking up the school buildings and grounds, acting as a keyholder, and conducting routine safety checks.
  • General Maintenance: Supporting our Handyman with carrying out minor DIY tasks, basic repairs, and general caretaking duties (e.g. painting).
  • Grounds & Logistics: Keeping external pathways clear, helping with furniture setups for school assemblies or events, and moving deliveries.
  • Health & Safety: Ensuring health and safety standards are met, which may include clearing debris, reporting hazards, etc. 

What We Are Looking For

  • A handy, practical individual with basic DIY or maintenance experience.
  • A proactive problem-solver who can work on their own initiative and react to urgent tasks.
  • A trustworthy, reliable person who understands the importance of school safeguarding.
