Hello,
My name is Eddie Rollett and I am one of our Assistant Headteachers at Noadswood School and I oversee 'Moving Up' at Noadswood School alongside Katie Martin our Transition Lead. We are aware that 'Moving Up' is a significant transition in a child's school life and we'll be doing our all to help this to be as smooth as possible- we're so excited to welcome your child to the Noadswood family! We have already booked in visits in March to meet your children and their teachers. This will help us to start the process of really getting to know your child and to answer any questions they may have.
With this in mind, I'd like to draw your attention to some key dates for your diary:
Transition Evening - 25/06/2025. We'll be writing to you nearer the time but this an evening specifically for parents and carers. On this evening, we'll talk to you about important details for new families, and you'll have the opportunity to ask questions.
Moving Up Days - 03/07/2025 and 04/07/2025. Pupils will join us for two dedicated 'Moving Up' days. They'll get to meet their head of year, tutor, and experience lessons at Noadswood.
Summer Camp - 23/07/2025. You may re-call that in previous years the government provided funding for all schools to host a 'Summer School.' Whilst that funding is no longer available, we felt it was such a valuable experience, we'll be hosting it again this year. This is a completely free event and a fantastic opportunity for year 6 pupils to meet new friends, experience our school, meet our staff and pupils. They'll rotate around 3 fantastic opportunities, the timings are below:

We will be in contact in the coming weeks with regards to uniform. We will be sending you a data form to complete, this is so we can ensure that we have all of the relevant information that we need prior to your child attending.
