Dear parents and carers,
I am delighted to be able to write to you this afternoon with details of some upcoming celebration events and trips for students in our current years 7, 8 and 9.
We have been working behind the scenes to source locations and coaches and have overcome a few hurdles along the way.
I am pleased to confirm that each year group will have a celebration afternoon on site in the summer term. This will be an off-timetable event for every student in the year group. This will be a celebration bonanza of an afternoon filled with the option of a film and pizza in the hall or joining us on the field for some inter-tutor sport activities including football and rounders matches. There will be some serious house competition as well as the opportunity for our students to put our staff through their paces with some students Vs staff matches. We will also be inviting parents and carers to join us so start warming up! We’ll be joined by our local ice cream van who will provide treats to all.
We are also able to confirm that in September 2022 as your child moves into their next academic year, each year group will have the opportunity to join their peers and Year Leaders on a trip to Longleat Safari Park. We are just finalising the details of this but can confirm that these day trips will take place in the final two weeks of September. We’ll be sending out the finer details of this, including costings and consent forms, just after we return from the half term break. We will be asking for parent/carer helpers and details of how to join us will be provided in the same communication.
We are so looking forward to being able to celebrate with our wonderful young people and give them the recognition they so thoroughly deserve.
