It has become part of Noadswood’s tradition to have a Leavers’ Prom for Yr11 pupils at the end of their GCSE exams. We are delighted to be able to write to you with details of the Prom for the Class of 2021.

The cost of the evening will be £42.00 per head, which will include entertainment, a two course (sit down) meal with soft drinks and a photographic memento.

Students will be provided with a soft drink alongside their meal. Additional soft drinks can be purchased from the bar at an approximate cost of £2.00 - £3.00. The venue have advised that they are operating a cashless system only so students will need to bring a debit card should they wish to purchase additional drinks.

There are restrictions from the Beaulieu estate as to the type and size of the vehicles pupils can arrive in. Please consider this when planning any transport for arrival to the Prom.

Vehicles

Due to site regulations, the following modes of transportation cannot be accepted:

  • Helicopters
  • Tanks / Armoured Vehicles
  • Horse & Carriage / Cart

Please note that due to residents on site, there is a noise management plan in place so the use of sirens or loud PA and excessive noise in general is NOT permitted by the Beaulieu Estate.

The Prom is always a very popular and enjoyable occasion and one of the last school events that your child will be involved in. In order to ensure that the evening runs smoothly for all invited, we reserve the right to refuse / withdraw places if an individual’s attitude or behaviour becomes a cause for concern prior to the event.

Payment is via ScoPay on-line which is setup already:

  • A payment of £42 is due by 5.00pm on Friday 2nd July 2021

After the closing date you will receive, via ePraise, a form which asks for updates on any dietary and medical needs for your child. Further details of the menu will also be sent at this time.

There will also be a further information sheet sent to you, stipulating important instructions in line with the most up to date guidance around safe management of such events during the pandemic. We will expect all students attending our prom to adhere to this guidance, which will include informing us if any student develops any symptoms prior to the event and that any confirmed cases of Covid for Year 11 students are reported to the school until the end of July 2021.

We would also expect to be able to trust that all students who attend the prom would isolate should any cases emerge and be reported to us within 48 hours of this event, as we would not be able to contact trace more precisely than this at an event that runs as a prom does. Please bear that in mind if your son/daughter has specific plans in the days immediately following the Prom. We would also request then, that you continue to use and regularly check your ePraise messages, as well as following us on our social media platforms – this will ensure that we are able to communicate directly with you, should the need arise.

Whilst we have done our absolute best to reduce the cost of the ticket price, we are very aware that some families have been facing financial difficulties as a result of the pandemic. We may be able to assist with funding towards the ticket cost for your child. Please do reach out to Mrs Loveday via epraise or email. (hloveday@noadswood.hants.sch.uk).

The venue have also requested that we inform all students and parents/carers that upon arrival, all bags will be searched. Any student who refuses this will be denied entry.

If you have any queries about this event, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Yours faithfully,

KMr
